A community for LGBTQ+ families of all colors of the rainbow, dedicated to improving the well-being of our children through advocacy, support and connection.
Our Mission
Rainbow Families Long Beach is an organization of LGBTQ+ and allied families and LBUSD staff partnering with leaders at LBUSD to create a safer, more inclusive district for all students. Rainbow Families connects hundreds of families and community members each year through regular meetings and events.
Alongside our district and community partners, we build coalitions with other marginalized communities and advocate for anti-racist policies, organize LGBTQ+ families to increase visibility within LBUSD, and strengthen LBUSD’s accountability and transparency to the LGBTQ+ community.
